E-Com Web Marketing Blog: January 9th, 2009

The first week of 2009 had Wall Street showing losses across the board, with the Dow Jones Industrial average down almost 5%. The unemployment numbers were released Friday and were the highest since 1974.

Thank God it's Friday! I don't know about you but I'm going to take stock of my business this weekend and be sure my marketing compass is pointed in the right direction. I'm going to add several new pages to our website to keep the content fresh, as well as let the search engines know that we continue to add good content to the Internet.

If you have a website add a page a day this weekend. Two pages isn't very difficult to do, and it will help your website rankings. Remember you have two audiences to please: your human visitors and the search engines. Make your content helpful for your human visitors and your search engine rankings will take care of itself.
